Applying this background to her victims’ rights and employment matters, Mariel assists individuals throughout the nation in navigating all aspects of the criminal and civil processes, including at the investigative stage. Mariel’s cases routinely involve sexual and physical assault, battery, sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower claims, state created danger, excessive force, personal injuries, and various civil rights violations resulting in significant damage awards. Mariel’s clients often feel intimidated and traumatized by the powerful people, employers, institutions, and circumstances that victimized them. Mariel empowers her clients and achieves transfers of wealth for them through the legal process resulting in punitive and financial justice.
As a highly skilled counselor-at-law, Mariel empathetically listens to the unique circumstances and objectives of each client. She then assembles a team and crafts arguments to suit the individuality of each representation. Clients and attorneys routinely seek Mariel’s counsel in matters which require a creative, comprehensive problem-solving approach.
Mariel founded LaSasso Law following her development of another boutique law firm that handled a broad array of criminal, civil and corporate matters, making Mariel an excellent general counsel and commercial litigator. Mariel also received the unique advantage of training under several prominent trial attorneys where she conducted numerous investigations and focused on criminal trials, obtaining extensive trial experience.
